
The Gamma-At-Bit Imaging System solves the measurement blind spot problem in geosteering. The system places gamma imaging detectors at the drill bit, with a gamma measurement zero length of 0.4m, enabling real-time, rapid identification of formation lithology changes. Measurement data is transmitted across the mud motor via electromagnetic wave carrier and then to the surface through the drilling fluid channel, effectively improving reservoir encounter rates and increasing single well production.

From January to February 2022, the SNM-GABIMG completed 6 well operations on the YS139H17 platform, successfully completing horizontal section construction. Despite complex geological conditions, including geological flexures and faults on this platform, the system achieved 95.57% high-quality reservoir encounter rates and set three records:

Typical Application 2
In November 2020, the SNM-GABIMG was field-tested in Well Ning209H30-3, completing the second-spud directional section and horizontal section construction. The system's precise guidance capability and stability were verified. The operational interval was 3434~5050m, with cumulative downhole time of 386h and drilling footage of 1616m. The horizontal section achieved regional record of 231h continuous single-trip operation, with high-quality reservoir encounter rate of 100%
