
Recently, the Joint Talent Training Base established by the Ocean College of Zhejiang University and ShiGongZhiKong Company was officially inaugurated in Beijing. Guided by the principles of “complementary strengths, resource sharing, collaborative win-win cooperation”, the two parties will build a comprehensive cooperation system based on the platform of the base. They will promote an integrated training model combining “classroom teaching, internship and practical training, and projects research” so as to further strengthen the joint cultivation of undergraduate and postgraduate students. At the same time, driven by the demand for high-end measurement while-drilling and control technology and equipment in the oil and gas drilling sector—such as high-speed downhole transmission technology—the two sides will jointly carry out collaborative R&D on new technologies and new products. They aim to connect the entire chain of “theoretical research, technology development, and industrial application” continuously deepen the level of cooperation, integrate superior resources, and form a strong interconnected and shared synergy to jointly advance the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research.
As a foundational core technology for intelligent drilling, high-speed downhole-to-surface data transmission while drilling has long been difficult to break through, resulting in a lack of real-time downhole multi-parameter data to support intelligent drilling decision-making. In the earlier stage, the Ocean College of Zhejiang University and our institute carried out comprehensive cooperation on high-speed downhole-to-surface transmission technology while drilling and achieved breakthrough progress, realizing an industry-advanced transmission rate of 12 bps for high-speed data transmission, thus laying a solid foundation for the development of related technologies.
The two parties will use the Joint Talent Training Base as a link to continuously deepen cooperation across multiple fields, further integrate the scientific research resources of universities with the industrial resources of enterprises, and create a strong synergy featuring “joint talent cultivation, collaborative technology development and shared achievements” with a focus on fostering a team of high-caliber professionals equipped with innovative thinking and mastery of core technologies.
